LG Gram is an ultra-light laptop with an ultra-modern design and powerful Intel(r) Evo platform. It’s perfect for work, streaming, playing games, and more.
The Gram 16 weighs less than 3 lbs, making it one of the lightest consumer laptops on the market. But, it’s not without its limitations.
Display
The LG Gram is a laptop that is ultra-lightweight, has an Evo certification, and boasts a large display. Specifically, the 16-inch Gram is one of the first portable laptops to offer a 16:10 aspect ratio screen, which has a lot of benefits for productivity.
The display is not quite as bright as some of the other laptops in this category, but it doesn’t have a bad color gamut and doesn’t exhibit too much glare. This is a good thing since most of us will use the display for general computing and modest creative tasks.
Display a wide range of brightness
We also liked that the screen had a great viewing angle, which means that you can use it comfortably in a variety of positions without any distortions. This is a great feature for people who like to watch movies or play games on the go, and it works well for everyday computing as well.
Another great thing about the display is that it can be set to a wide range of brightness levels, which is useful for outdoor use. In our testing, the display’s brightness level reached 120 nits, which is about the same as the Dell XPS 13 Plus and Apple MacBook Air.
As with all the LG Gram laptops, it feels very premium to the touch and the materials are hard-wearing. However, the flex of the lid is a little bit noticeable, and it can be uncomfortable to hold if you have big hands. The keyboard deck is also slightly flexy, but this is within acceptable limits for a laptop of this size and weight. The LG Gram isn’t heavyweight, but it does feel very solid, and its magnesium alloy construction does help with durability.
Processor
The LG gram has a powerful Intel processor, impressive memory, and a great battery. It’s an ideal laptop for working, gaming, or designing. The 17-inch model weighs a mere 1.199 kg and has a screen that is just as big as those of Apple’s MacBook Pro and Dell’s XPS 15.
In the middle of its streamlined chassis, you’ll find the i7-1260P processor, which comes with an Iris Xe integrated graphics card. It’s not as fast as Intel’s top-of-the-line processors, but it still offers solid performance in everyday tasks such as browsing and Office applications.
You’ll also find an impressive 1 TB SSD and 16 GB of RAM, which help it load and maintain programs quickly under the stress of multiple tabs open in browsers. It’s not the fastest laptop around, but it’s very good for its price tag and is backed up by its excellent build quality and long-lasting battery life.
Even when we slapped this Gram with our most intensive tasks – such as playing video looped at 50% brightness, which uses up most of the battery – it still had enough juice left to keep going for 10 hours and 32 minutes before needing a recharge. That’s a remarkable achievement for a notebook of this size.
The LG Gram’s display also performs well, thanks to its 2,560 x 1,600 resolution and WQXGA screen. Its 16:10 aspect ratio makes it easier to view web pages and documents, while the extra vertical space allows you to work more comfortably with photos and films.
Graphics
The LG Gram is an ultra-light laptop with a stunning 17-inch screen. This makes it ideal for productivity work, such as emailing, reporting and MS Office tools.
The screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 2560 x 1440 resolution. This allows for 11% more screen real estate compared to a 16:9 display.
It also features a 4-way slim bezel that offers an immersive viewing experience. IPS panels are standard on all models and support variable refresh rate (VRR)4, a feature that allows for seamless graphics when gaming.
Graphics-Intensive Work
There is plenty of power available to handle graphics-intensive work, thanks to the dedicated Intel Iris Xe GPU. Alternatively, gamers can use game streaming services like Nvidia’s GeForce Now or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Performance is fast and smooth, which is great if you’re working on a lot of files or browsing the web. Booting up quickly and launching apps is easy, too.
The screen is bright and colorful, and it doesn’t exhibit glare. It’s also easy to read, with a large font size and accurate color reproduction.
Its weight is surprisingly light, too, and it can last an entire day on a single charge. It’s perfect for travel, as you won’t have to worry about being weighed down by a heavy laptop. The keyboard is comfortable to type on, too.
Battery
If you’re looking for a lightweight laptop that’s packed with battery life and a great screen, the LG gram is an excellent option. It’s light enough to carry around with ease, and it will run for up to 18 hours on a single charge.
The LG programs are powered by an Intel Core i7-1260P processor, which is a step down from the Intel Core i7-1270P processor that powers the Dell XPS 13. It’s also a lot more portable than the XPS, at 3.7 pounds instead of 4.3, though it can still be a little heavy for some users.
Despite its lower performance, the LG Gram is also one of the best-performing laptops we’ve tested when it comes to battery life. It lasts for a full 12 hours and 47 minutes on our streaming video battery drain test, which is far better than the average premium laptop.
LG Gram Battery Fresh
To help keep your lg gram battery fresh, it is important to make sure that you are charging it at the correct time. This will allow you to get the most out of your new laptop.
Another way to ensure your battery lasts as long as possible is by using the power management features that are available on most modern laptops. These will help you to reduce the screen brightness as much as possible and use the built-in power-saving mode to turn off unnecessary applications.
As with any electronic device, your lg gram battery will degrade over time, and it’s important to replace it as soon as you notice a reduction in its performance or life span. When it is time for a replacement, be sure to choose a high-quality battery that will provide you with the performance and reliability that you deserve.
Audio
The LG Gram is one of the few laptops to offer a full-sized, high-resolution 17-inch display without sacrificing any portability. This model also boasts a top-of-the-line Intel Core i7-1360P processor that comes armed with 4 P-cores, eight E-cores, and 18MB of L3 cache. It’s part of Intel’s Raptor Lake-P family of chips designed to fit ultra-thin devices, so you can expect great performance for everything from content creation to gaming.
The Gram’s speakers deliver epic and intense sound when playing songs through the DTS Audio app. This app features a full custom equalizer with presets for music, movies, and games. It also offers Bass Boost and Volume Leveling, which can help you listen to music more comfortably.
It’s also equipped with DTS:X Ultra, which delivers more immersive 3D Audio Rendering for a richer and less-distorted experience. This feature is available when connected to headphones and enables you to control the speaker’s treble and bass levels. In addition, you can use Gram to play sound from HDMI cables and through the built-in speakers on your computer. You can also connect it to external speakers through Bluetooth. The Bluetooth pairing process is pretty simple and requires you to press the “Add Bluetooth Device” button on your computer.
